Welcome to East Gate, Namibia.
This is your home away from home… an oasis on the Trans Kalahari highway which is the strategic coast-to-coast route linking Maputo, Mozambique on the Indian Ocean to Walvisbay on the Atlantic coastline of Namibia.
Our accommodation establishment is situated 400m from the Buitepos borderpost between Namibia and Botswana and just the place to care for all your needs after a long day of travelling.
Buitepos is the main access point to the centre of Namibia and all tourism attractions this vast, sparsely populated country has to offer.
Officially, East Gate is a self-catering rest camp, but it’s really so much more. Our extended facilities are nestled in the refreshing landscape of Omaheke, one of the eleven administrative region of Namibia.
Omaheke is the Herero word for sandveld (sand terrain), which is appropriate.
