Opuwo means “finished” or “up to here and no further” Opuwo is the gateway to Kaokoland, the small town is the administrative hub of the Kunene Region. Opuwo Country Lodge is situated on a hilltop just outside of town and provides luxury and standard accommodation with air conditioning, swimming pool, bar and restaurant, and camping sites, it’s the ideal base from where to explore Kaokoland. The lodge is within easy reach of Kaoko-Otavi, Epupa Falls and Swartbooisdrift. Road conditions between Kamanjab and Opuwo are in excellent condition (tarmac).
Facilities:
The 28 luxury rooms consist of 21 Twins, 1 luxury double room and 3 sets of inter-leading twin rooms (6 rooms) and 12 standard twin rooms. All the rooms have air conditioning and en-suit shower, toilet with complimentary amenities. Deck chairs and umbrellas set the scene for a relaxed day around the pool or cool off after a hard day’s drive. Next to the pool is the Bar and Restaurant where guests can crack a cold one and enjoy mouth-watering meals.
