The river flowing past the lodge is generally shallow and broken by many forested islands and rapids. This ensures challenging fishing for both spin and fly anglers. Mutemwa Lodge is the ideal holiday for the enthusiastic fisherman – both amateur or professional.
The renown Zambezi Tiger Fish is common to these waters, as are a variety of bream, African Pike, Upper-Zambezi Yellowfish and Catfish.
Mutemwa has expert fishing guides who are available to rig, fix, tie flies and give advice. In the spirit of conservation, the fish our guests catch are tagged and returned to the river.
