Burns Taxidermy specializes in full mount trophies, shoulder mount trophies, skull mounts, rug mounts of all species of big game and plains game.

Gerhard Riekert started to learn the art of taxidermy at the very young age of 12.
Ever since then he has been involved in wildlife and taxidermy.

Documentation:
On the completion of the hunt the professional hunter, outfitter and client will complete and sign a hunting register detail all species hunted. This register is then sent to the Department of Nature Conservation for the issuing off all the necessary conservation export permits.
CITES 1 animals will require a CITES import permit. It is advisable that you obtain the correct information from your local fish and wildlife or conservation authority regarding the correct procedures on CITES import permits.
If CITES animals are included in your hunt, with all the documentation in order, the South African conservation authorities will issue the necessary CITES export permits.
With conservation, health and veterinary export documentation in order your shipment gets handed over to the shipping agent who will arrange customs declaration and clearance for dispatch to your shipping destination. You need to appoint a broker/clearing agent in your country to handle customs and clearance of your hunted trophies and to generally guide you through import procedures.
Please note: Trophies will only be exported once full payment is received.
